EveryART
2023

Overview
EveryART lets individuals create, share, and discover art in their neighborhoods, fostering collaboration, showcasing local talent, and bringing communities together through creativity.
Role: Product Designer, Team Lead · Timeline: November 2022 – March 2023 (5 months)
Team: Zane Reddix (Product Designer/Team Lead), Jojo (Product Manager), Jiaqi Xi (Designer), Danny Garcia (Frontend Engineer)
Challenge
Users experience insufficient art exposure due to busy schedules. Non-professional artists lack accessible platforms to create and showcase work, and art remains disconnected from daily life, confined to traditional gallery and museum settings.
Process
- Discover: Surveys (83 participants), qualitative interviews (9 participants), and behavioral mapping using the Double Diamond methodology
- Define: User archetypes (viewers and creators), journey maps, and the guiding question — “How might we stimulate art creation in neighborhoods so people can enjoy art nearby?”
- Ideate: Competitive audit of 10 apps, and a hypothesis about bridging viewers and creators
- Prototype: Wireframes, two rounds of usability testing, and a design system prioritizing high-contrast simplicity
Solution
A community platform enabling three core actions: discovering local artworks and artists, proposing new art, and voting on community art selections.
Reflection
63 team meetings across six months despite timezone challenges — research-driven design and direct user-designer collaboration were foundational to the outcome.
